Let’s help to safeguard national stability and cohesion – Priest

Primate Seth K. Adofo, Spiritual Head of the Brotherhood Church, has called on political leaders to work together to safeguard the nation’s stability and social cohesion.

They should reject vindictiveness, parochial and self-serving agenda.
Primate Adofo was addressing the opening of a seven-day annual national prayer session at the Church’s prayer camp at Asuoyeboa in Kumasi.

It is being held under the theme “Prayer, the weapon of our warfare” and attended by about 4,000 members of the church.

The goal is to promote spiritual renewal and re-connect with their Creator.

Primate Adofo noted that many people in the country were becoming disillusioned because politicians and their followers were refusing to play by the “rules of the game.”

He warned that indecent language and intolerance could wreck the nation’s democracy and must therefore be avoided.

He called on all to show respect to people in authority and to peacefully co-exist.

Primate Adofo asked Christians to pray ceaselessly for the nation and live up to their social and civic responsibilities as they avoid greed and obsession with money.
