Ghana stocks slip in quiet trading

The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, slipped by 2.71 points to close Tuesday’s session at 6,756.37 points from Monday’s close of 6,759.08 points.

This brings the gain made so far this year to 21.25 per cent.

There were four price changes two up and two down.

Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) gained GH¢0.03 to close at GH¢0.75 while Ecobank Ghana Limited was up by GH¢0.01 at GH¢3.01. Ghana oil Company (GOIL) lost GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.25 while SG-SSB also lost GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.66.

Traded volume closed lower at 102,900 shares valued at GH¢56,770.80 from Monday’s 171,108 shares valued at GH¢72,780.12.

Market capitalisation closed the session lower at GH¢19,850.58 from Monday’s close of GH¢19,825.68.
