South Africa’s net reserve at $40.854b in September

South Africa’s net gold and foreign exchange reserves stood at $40.854 billion at the end of September from $39.178 billion in August, official data showed on Thursday.

Gross reserves also rose to $44.069 billion in September from $43.133 billion, the central bank said in a statement posted on its website.

Foreign currency reserves went up $560 million to $36.025 billion while gold reserves increased by $299 million to $5.268 billion.
