Ghana stocks make marginal gain

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, went up 1.76 points from 6,651.81 points to 6,653.57 points during Tuesday’s trading on the Accra bourse.

The Change Year to Date now stands at 19.40 per cent from 19.37 per cent recorded during Monday’s trading session.

Traded volume closed the session at 253,066 shares valued at GH¢183,504.01.

Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) led the pack of companies that sold shares. It sold 67,100 of its shares valued at GH¢104,050 followed by UT Bank Limited which traded 65,900 shares worth GH¢16,475.00 and Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), which had 57,500 of its shares valued at GH¢8,052.00 changing hands. Shares of 11 other equities were sold. On the broader market, there were four price changes, two positives and two negatives.

GGBL led the gainers with a share price increase of GH¢0.04 to close at GH¢1.56 while SIC Insurance Company Limited (SIC) was up GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.39. Cal Bank Limited (CAL) and Produce Buying Company Limited (PBC) went down by GH¢0.01 each to close at GH¢0.28 and GH¢0.14 respectively.

Market Capitalization closed the session at GH¢18,817.03 million from GH¢18,815.67 million.
