Ghana stocks bounce back

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, bounced back during Thursday’s trading on the Accra bourse, gaining 100.64 points, to close at 6,780.82 points up from 6,680.18 points.

The Change Year to date now stands at 21.69 per cent from 19.88 per cent recorded during previous trading sessions.

On the broader market, there were three price changes, two positives and a negative.

Total Petroleum Ghana Limited (TOTAL) led the gainers with a share price increase of GH¢0.12 to close at GH¢8.83 and Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) went up by GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.15.

Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) lost GH¢0.05 to close at GH¢2.95.

Traded volume closed the session at 372,685 shares valued at GH¢1,313,796.05.

TOTAL led the pack with 135,800 of its shares valued at GH¢1,199,114.00 followed by CFAO Ghana Limited (CFAO), which had 99,900 of its shares valued at GH¢2,997.00 sold.

Shares of 16 other equities were sold.

Market Capitalisation closed the session at GH¢18,625.12 million from GH¢18,535.80 million issued shares.
