The equipment was presented on behalf of the Senior Manager, by Mrs Rhoderlyn Entsua Mensah, Health Projects Advisor of MTN Ghana Foundation.

She reiterated MTN’s commitment to partner with Government, non-governmental organisations  and the public to provide quality health care to people living in communities where MTN operated.

“MTN has already invested significant amount of funds in support of health projects including the refurbishment of the second floor of the maternity block of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital in Accra and many others,” Mrs Entsua Mensah.

She said MTN recognises health and education as critical sectors, which needed much attention and has therefore focused its community social responsibility efforts on these areas since the Foundation began operations in Ghana three years ago.

The donation to the Wassa Dunkwa Health Centre was in response to a request made to the MTN by the Executive Director of Needs Care International; Reverend Philip Mensah, who has adopted the community and has for sometime now, engineered a number of community projects including renovation of the health facility.

Receiving the equipment, Rev. Mensah expressed his gratitude to the MTN for honouring their request.
