Ghana stocks dip early September

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, dropped 102.29 points from 6,767.65 points to 6,665.36 points during Friday’s trading.

The Change Year to Date now stands at 19.62.

Traded volume closed the session at 128,454 shares valued at GH¢97,699.35. Of the 15 equities that sold shares, Cal Bank Limited (CAL) led the pack with 46,700 of its shares valued at GH¢13,076.00.

On the broader market, there were eight price changes, five positives and three negatives. Accra Brewery Company Limited (ABL); SIC Insurance Company Limited (SIC); SG-SSB Limited (SG-SSB); Total Petroleum Ghana Limited (TOTAL) and UT Bank Limited (UTB) gained GH¢0.01 each to close at GH¢0.11; GH¢0.38; GH¢0.71; GH¢8.51 and GH¢0.27 in that order.

Enterprise Insurance Company Limited (EIC) lost GH¢0.08 to close at GH¢1.60 while Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) and Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) lost GH¢0.01 each to close at GH¢0.78 and GH¢0.14 respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed the session at GH¢18,523.37 million from GH¢18,613.96 million issued shares.
