Ghana stocks go up again after fall

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, went up by 43.09 points from 6,454.01 points to 6,497.10 points during Wednesday’s trading on the Accra bourse.

The Change Year to Date was 16.60.

Traded volume closed the session at 374,421 shares valued at GH¢293,289.80. Of the 16 equities that sold shares, SIC Insurance Company Limited (SIC) led the pack with 123,800 of its shares valued at GH¢43,447.00.

On the broader market, there were six price changes, five positives and a negative. Unilever Ghana Limited (UNIL) led the gainers with a share price increase of GH¢0.15 to close trading at GH¢4.15; Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) went up by GH¢0.10 to close trading at GH¢2.98; Enterprise Insurance Company Limited (EIC) went up by GH¢0.09 to close trading at GH¢1.70 while Cal Bank Limited (CAL) and Golden Star Resources Limited (GSR) appreciated by GH¢0.01 each to close trading at GH¢0.27 and GH¢3.41, respectively.

SIC lost GHc0.02 to close trading at GHc0.35.

Market Capitalisation closed the session at GH¢18,340.55 million from 17.48 million issued shares.
