ABL supports GJA Awards ceremony

Accra Brewery Limited (ABL), Producers of Club Beer and other assorted drinks, on Thursday presented 139 cases of drinks and mineral water worth GH¢2,600 to the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) to support the 15th GJA awards slated Saturday, 21st August.

The drinks included 20 cases of Castle Milk Stout, 15 cases of Club Premium Lager, 10 cases of Club Gold, 15 cases of Castle Milk Malt, five cases of Stone Strong Lager, four cases of Chairman Liquor, 25 cases of assorted minerals, 40 cases of Voltic mineral water and five cases of sparkling mineral water.

Mr Grig Metcalf, Managing Director of ABL, presenting the drinks, stressed the need for a strong media presence in Ghana and noted that Ghana was gaining recognition on the internationally partly due to the presence of a strong media.

He urged the media to continue to promote social justice and accountability in the country.

Mr Ransford Tetteh, President of the GJA, commended ABL for the kind gesture and said the media in Ghana needed the partnership of corporate bodies to help grow the country.

“We need corporate Ghana to partner the media to promote the better Ghana Agenda that we all crave for,” he said.
