The promotion is to build up excitement towards the on-going 2010 FIFA World Cup Tournament in South Africa from June 11 to July 11.
As part of the promotion, first 10 customers whose entries were drawn have won Plasma television sets while 150 other people won T-shirts and base ball caps.
The nation-wide promotion which started on May 17 would end on July 23.
In another draw about 30 customers were awarded with Plasma television sets while 500 others had T-shirts and base ball caps.
Mr Jacob Aboagye, Co-ordinator for Funds Transfer of Trust Bank, said the promotion among similar packages, re-affirmed Western Union’s commitment to give back to society in recognition of its loyal customers.
He said “the only qualification to be part of the promotion is that one need to just receive money from abroad through any Western Union agent nation-wide and fill a coupon”.
Mr Aboagye said the promotion was one of the numerous projects initiated by management, which sought to connect subscribers to share the excitement of football.
He said: “This promotion demonstrates the company’s leadership in the industry and our resolve to build strong relationship with our cherished customers, as we continue to provide them with better and reliable service.”
The winners of the plasma TV sets include George Brony, Alex Frempong and Agnes Fosu, all residents of Kumasi, Cloudia Donglabong, a resident of Bolgatanga, Forgive Kadigah, Ho, Bernard Kantataba, Nkoranza and Dorisi Minta of Navrongo.
