Ghanaian businesses at investment forum in Switzerland

Some Ghanaian businesses are participating at an ongoing investment forum in Zurich, Switzerland, a press release from the Swiss Embassy in Ghana copied to ghanabusinessnews.com has said.

The event which started yesterday March 24, 2010 will end today, March 25, 2010.

The Ghanaian businesses at the 3rd Swiss-African Business Exchange are presenting their portfolios to potential investors. The businesses were competitively selected by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) as part of the Investment Promotion in Sub-Saharan Africa (IPSSA) initiative.

IPSSA is funded by the Swiss Government through Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) is a technical assistance support to the GIPC to identify and build a strong portfolio of investment projects for local and international promotion, the release added.

The release said the businesses presented are in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing and Information Technology. Ghana’s Tourism Ministry is also present at the event prospecting for investors for the sector.
