Togo pulls out of African Nations Cup as two more die

The Togolese national team, the Hawks has pulled out of the Angola 2010 African Nations Cup Tournament after losing two more members of the team, the BBC reports.

The Togolese team came under gunfire attack by Angolan rebels Friday after crossing the border from the Democratic Republic of Congo into the Angolan enclave of Cabinda.

The driver of the bus was killed and two players were injured. But latest news from the international media says two more officials have died from their wounds. The officials are the team’s assistant coach and the media relations officer.

And a BBC news report monitored in Accra by ghanabusinessnews.com says a presidential plane has been sent to Angola to lift the team back home.

Angolese peoples, what they have done is totaly bad because they don’t mind with human being.

Secondly if they have any problem with Togolese this is not the time to caucth off the team.

They should solve their problems without kill the players like that? For me I want to ask for those who plan world cup football, if it will not stoped the foreigners to come in African.

Thirdly even God he will punish those who participate in that action.

Its a big disgrace to Africa. Football brings unity and peace but not the opposite. Those involved in the terrorist action must internationally be brought to book and face the consequencies of breaching international law. May the gonners’ soul rest in perfect peace. We shall meet in heaven to continue the match.
