Internal Audit Agency to hold forum

The Internal Audit Agency (IAA) will hold a two-day forum from August 18-19 for Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to meet their organisational plans, goals and objectives.

The forum, which is on the theme: “Public Sector Performance Management: The Role of Internal Auditing,” is in line with the Internal Audit Agency Act 2003 (Act 658) which mandates the IAA to ensure that plans, goals and objectives of MDAs and MMDAs were achieved.

A statement signed by Mr Lawrence Kwarteng-Ashia, Public Relations Manager of IAA, said President John Evans Atta Mills would open the conference.

Participants at the forum will include Ministers of State, Parliamentarians, Chief Directors, Chief Executives, Human Resource Mangers, Directors of Finance and Administration, Heads of Internal Audit and other stakeholders.

The IAA was established with a mandate to coordinate, facilitate and quality assure internal audit activities in MDAs and MMDAs.
