BREAKING NEWS: IGP asked to proceed on leave
According to a news report on Joy FM, monitored by ghanabusinessnews.com, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Patrick Acheampong has been asked to proceed on leave.
Unconfirmed reports say, the order was given today, January 26, 2009, by President John Atta Mills.
In his absence, Mrs. Elizabeth Mills-Robertson, a deputy Commissioner of Police has been asked to take over in the interim.
