Change your attitude to work in 2009 – Ghanaians told

Ghanaians have been asked to change their attitude to work in 2009 to if they must contribute to the country’s economic growth.

The advise was given by a minister of the gospel at a New Year service Thursday January 1, 2008.

The Reverend Kofi Asiamah Ampadu-Daaduam of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana said “ the Ghanaian’s mentality about money and wealth as well as attitude to work should change to assist the next government to implement its policies and programmes towards an effective and efficient socio-economic development.”

Rev. Ampadu-Daaduam who is also the District Minister-inCharge of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Nankese in the Akuapem Presbytery of the Church in the Eastern region was unhappy with the attitude of public sector employees. He said these category of workers saw their works as belonging to government and therefore, did not perform their duties to the best of their abilities.

He called on Ghanaians to get involved in building the nation, he said, “we all have a stake in developing Ghana and we should not fail in our endeavours.”
