The Facebook group, Ghanaians against Dumping of E-waste now has 500 members to date.

The group was formed about two years ago by Ghanaian journalist and e-waste campaigner, Emmanuel K. Dogbevi to draw attention to the growing menace of e-waste dumping into Ghana by the West.

The group also serves as a platform to educate members on the world’s largest social networking site, Facebook about the challenges posed to Ghana by e-waste.

Emmanuel who is also the Managing Online Editor of Ghana’s leading online business news and information website, ghanabusinessnews.com, believes that the group provides an opportunity for people across the world who are interested in gaining knowledge in and sharing ideas about the problem of e-waste dumping to share ideas and information.

Ghana has been identified as a dumping ground for e-waste from the developed world. E-waste is known to contain a cocktail of poisonous chemicals that are harmful both to the environment and human health.

Ghanaians Against Dumping of E-waste has members across the world including non-Ghanaians who are concerned about the unethical and indeed, criminal act of e-waste dumping into Ghana.

If you want to add  your voice to the struggle to end this unacceptable act, you can join the group by clicking here.
