Alhaji Sly Tetteh, owner of Liberty Professionals passes-on

The owner of premier league club, Liberty Professionals Academy, Alhaji Sylvester Tetteh has died today September  3, 2011.

Known in the football fraternity as Alhaji Sly  died when playing a charity match in Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana.

A spokesperson of the family married to Sly’s relative who confirmed the news on JoyFM said Alhaji Sly collapsed and died on the pitch. He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.

As a muslim, Sly will be buried immediately and the body is being conveyed from Cape Coast to Accra, the spokesperson said.

His club has nurtured world-class players such as Chelsea’s Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari of Inter Milan, Asamoah Gyan of Sunderland among others.
