Remittances to Ghana in nine months reach $13.4b

RemittancesRemittances have become a very important part of Ghana’s economy.

In nine months, between January and September 2012, the total foreign exchange inflows into the country through the banks amounted to 13.4 billion.

In 2012, it was $13 billion in the same period, according to the Bank of Ghana.

The Bank also says $1.3 billion of that amount accrued to individuals.

    Tell the government to impliment Ghana overseas Bonds just like Isreal Bonds sold globally to support infrastructure in Isreal sooner the Government realise this the better the country will be. Stop the nonses of remittance inflows and strengthen the Ghanaian banking system with stiffer regulations not to fall into problems like US and European Banks
