Ghana’s road to Brazil 2014 opens with 7-0 trailer over Lesotho

Ghana started its road to Brazil 2014 World Cup with a 7-0 victory over Lesotho today June 1, 2012 in a game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The Black Stars scored four during the first half and added the three goals in the second-half.

Both Jordan Ayew and Dominic Adiyiah scored a brace with Sulley Muntari, Christian Atsu and Jerry Akaminko all netting a goal each.

But during the second half, when darkness fell, the floodlights at the stadium would not switch on and the match was halted. It was however resumed when the lights came on.

The Black Stars will play Zambia next in an away game.
