Zambia names squad for Sudan, Ghana qualifiers

Zambia coach Herve Renard has named a 26-man squad to face Sudan and Ghana in next month’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Information gathered by GNA Sports said 18-members of 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad were included in the team.

Left-back Emmanuel Mbola of FC Porto in Portugal makes a return to the team after missing out on the continental football fiesta on suspension just as TP Mazembe forward Given Singuluma.

Also in the team is Red Arrows goalkeeper Daniel Munyau who takes the place of Power Dynamos goalkeeper Joshua Titima.

There is no place for burly striker Collins Mbesuma and defender Joseph Musonda both of Golden Arrows in South Africa.

The Chipolopolo will take on Sudan on June 2 in Khartoum before facing Ghana seven days later in Ndola.
