Bank of Africa starts Ghana operations after acquiring majority shares in Amal Bank

Bank of Africa (BOA) will launch its Ghana operations September 29, 2011 after it entered into an agreement with Amalgamated Bank to acquire majority of its shares.

A statement from the bank copied to ghanabusinessnews.com today September 26, reads “BOA West Africa SA has entered into an agreement with Amalgamated bank and has acquired majority of its shareholdings.  The official launch of Bank of Africa – Ghana will be held on September the 29, 2011.”

A newly rebranded Bank of Africa Ghana logo will be outdoored during the ceremony. Mr Kobby Andah is the Managing Director.

Ghana is the 15th country in which BOA has operations. The bank was founded in Bamako, Mali in 1982.

    I HAVE BEEN CONTRIBUTING MY MONTHLY INSURANCE PREMIUM THROUGH MY ACCOUNT WITH AMALBANK, BUT SINCE THE BANK HAS CHANGED TO BANK OF AFRICA THE DEDUCTION HAS NOT BEEN MADE. SO I WANT TO FIND OUT THE REASON WHY?
