A Ghanaian man, Jude Agbley has been convicted of murder for strangling his wife, the Pittsburgh Tribune Review has reported.

35-year-old Agbley was found guilty of killing his 40-year-old wife Brenda Agbley on January 23, 2009 in their Forest Hills home. He was found guilty of third degree murder for strangling the wife. Agbley faces a maximum sentence of 20 to 40 years in prison for the crime and he will be sentenced on February 16, 2010.

Agbley. According to the report testified in his own defense at the trial, saying that he and his wife got in a fight over e-mails between her and another man.

“She grabbed scissors,” Agbley said, during testimony earlier this week. “At one point I think I did grab her (neck). When I lifted my hands she wasn’t moving. I tried to resuscitate her.”
