It is true developed countries are currently hit most by the global financial crisis and Africa like any other third world will experience the worse effects alot later, not far away though. Seeing presidents and world leaders in these developed countries looking for solutions and protecting their economies, one wonders when our dear African leaders are going to find solutions tailor made for Africa to minimise the effects of the falling global economy. The worst prepared for this willl be the worst hit. Our president in Uganda has time and again reminded Ugandans how the global fnanciall crisis will not affect Uganda. I fail to see how that is possible, with service businesses like tourism begining to fall.

The American leaders have begun spending more American money in America. What are we doing as Africans? Are we waiting for an angel from no where to solve our prblems? It is time for Africa to solve its own problems!

Why Africa need aid if they have so much resources on the ground due to corruption, lack of education, mismanagement, ignorance we continue to be poor and our next generation will continue to suffer because we do not care as leaders. We continue to remain poor because of greed and neglect of our social responsibility.
Parliamentarians, should have offices in their constituencies, have a town hall meetings monthly to access problems facing thier people who voted them into power instead of living in Accra with free vehicle, house, chef, garden boy and unless we learn we will never get anywhere while the advance countries leaving legacies to their children and grand children, we are leaving dust, dirt, poverty to our children, great grand children.
We must be wise and not foolish.
